Description
The 7 Gauge Stake Pocket, part #31-4005, gives you a solid weld-on mount point on trailers. This stake pocket lets you add removable side boards, rail posts, or tie-down points. You can weld it to utility trailers, flatbeds, equipment trailers, and contractor trailers.
This stake pocket uses 7 gauge steel for strength and durability in heavy use. It accepts standard 2″ x 4″ stake lumber or steel stake posts. The pocket’s internal opening measures about 1-1/2″ x 3-1/2″, wide enough to hold lumber snugly without wobble. The pocket stands about 3″ tall from the bracket base to the top.
You weld this stake pocket directly to the trailer frame or side rail. The raw steel weld-ready finish makes installation easy. Tack it in place. Square it up. Then run full weld beads to make a rigid, permanent mount. This design lets you customize your trailer with removable side walls on the jobsite or on the road.
Use this pocket to build stake sides quickly. Slide a 2” x 4” board into the pocket. Then add the next board into the next pocket. Repeat down the side of the trailer. This gives you sturdy side walls and flexible load control.
The stake pocket also doubles as a tie-down point for chains, straps, and rope. You can secure cargo like lumber, equipment, or landscape materials. Add D-rings, winches, or chain binders nearby for extra secure tie-downs.
This pocket fits trailers with steel or aluminum flatbeds and with straight rails. It works on DIY trailer builds and professional custom trailers. It gives you removable side stake support and extra tie-down flexibility.
