The 4 Gauge Stake Pocket, part #31-4000, gives you a rugged weld-on stake mounting point for trailers. This stake pocket accepts standard 2″ x 4″ stakes to build removable sidewalls or tie-down points on your trailer deck. It works on utility trailers, equipment trailers, flatbeds, and landscape trailers that use a stake body design.
This weld-on pocket uses 4 gauge steel for heavy-duty strength. It stands up to daily towing and jobsite use better than thinner gauge pockets. The pocket opens wide enough to insert a 2″ x 4″ stake board or steel stake post securely.
The pocket measures about 3″ tall from weld base to top. The internal depth is about 1-5/8″, and the inner width sits around 3-1/2″. These dimensions let you drop a standard 2×4 snugly into place.
Install this stake pocket by welding it square to your trailer frame or rail. The raw steel finish welds easily to flatbed crossmembers, side rails, or stake body frames. Once welded, the pocket becomes a permanent part of your trailer structure.
