The Buyers Products 5-Position 6-Hole Heavy-Duty Channel gives your trailer a strong, adjustable mount for couplers or tow eyes. It is designed for trailers that need tongue height adjustment. As a result, it works well on utility, equipment, dump, and construction trailers. In turn, the channel lets you set towing components at the height that best matches your tow vehicle’s hitch for level towing.

This heavy-duty channel uses 1/2″ thick formed steel for added strength and durability. Therefore, it holds up to repeated towing and harsh jobsite conditions. The plain carbon steel finish welds easily to a straight trailer tongue. In addition, the included weld-on gussets add extra reinforcement where it matters most.

With five mounting positions, the channel offers flexible height settings. It measures about 11-5/8″ tall overall and features an inside width of roughly 3 inches to accept standard adjustable couplers and towing attachments. The six mounting holes measure approximately 0.656″ in diameter and are spaced about 2 inches center to center. Together, these positions provide up to 8 inches of vertical adjustment once installed.

This adjustable channel works with a wide range of towing setups. For example, you can pair it with a 2″ adjustable channel coupler for up to 10,000 lb towing. You can also install a 2-5/16″ adjustable cast coupler for heavier loads. Alternatively, a pintle lunette ring bolts in easily for pintle hitch applications, depending on your trailer configuration.

To install, weld the channel square to the trailer tongue. Then select the best mounting position for your coupler or tow eye based on hitch height. Finally, torque all hardware to specification and test the setup before towing.
