8K Trailer Axle Electric Brake Assembly – Right Hand

The 8K Trailer Axle Brake Assembly delivers dependable stopping power for demanding trailers. It supports an 8,000 lb axle. It uses a 12.25″ x 3.375″ drum and shoe size. This right-hand, passenger-side 8k electric brake is built to work hard and stop strong.

First, it bolts directly to a standard four-bolt brake flange. Then, it lines up perfectly with Dexter 8K axle configurations. It also cross-fits Lippert axles and other brands that follow Dexter-style patterns. Because the shoes, magnet, springs, and adjuster come pre-installed, installation is faster and easier.

Next, this assembly handles heavy loads with confidence. The large 12.25″ drum surface spreads heat more evenly. As a result, brake fade is reduced. Service life increases. This matters most on equipment trailers, dump trailers, and large enclosed trailers that see frequent use.

However, proper break-in is essential. After installation, make 20 to 30 controlled stops from about 40 mph. Allow short cool-down periods between stops. Most importantly, avoid hard panic braking. This process seats the shoes to the drum. In turn, braking becomes smoother and more efficient.
