The Buyers 1/2″ Forged D-Ring with 2-Hole Mounting Bracket, part #31-DR-12B, provides a strong and dependable anchor point for cargo securement. It works with tie-down straps, chains, and binders. As a result, loads stay in place during transport on trailers and flatbeds.
This bolt-on tie-down uses a 1/2″ diameter D-ring made from C-1045 forged steel. Therefore, it delivers long-lasting strength. The solid forged construction also holds up well under repeated tension from straps and chains.
The ring mounts to a bracket with two bolt holes for simple installation. These holes accept 3/8″ bolts or carriage bolts. In addition, the inside ring opening measures about 2.5″ wide by 2.38″ tall, which gives plenty of room for larger hooks and chain links.
This D-ring works well on flatbed trailers, utility trailers, and stake bodies. For example, it helps secure equipment, lumber, ATVs, logs, and general cargo. You can install it on the trailer floor, side rails, or cross members wherever a solid tie-down point is needed.
However, this D-ring is not rated for overhead lifting. Instead, it is designed strictly for cargo securement. Always match strap and chain working load limits to the load being hauled.
